The Source of Magic Edit
While a person lives, raw life energy courses through their body, flowing alongside blood and nerves. When drawn out of a living or freshly dead body, the raw energy from both blood and flesh can be used as an energy source for magical spells, a type of magic now called blood magic.
Throughout history, blood magic has continued to be used, requiring its wielder to wound themselves to use their own blood, or even to wound others for their blood. There have been cases where blood magicians have even sacrificed others for use of their blood for horrific spells. For this reason alone, blood magic has been prohibited in many parts of the world due to the murderous and often sadistic nature of its wielders, though its practice still continues in the underworld of many cities today.
